Play FIFA 99 Online
Dribble past defenders with smoother controls than older FIFAs, tweak formations endlessly, and actually command your keeper—felt like real football for its time. Spent hours just scrolling through hundreds of clubs before even kicking off.

Game Overview
FIFA 99 on the N64 was one of those games that made you feel like you were actually on the pitch—well, as close as you could get in 1999 anyway. The sheer number of teams was ridiculous: 42 national squads and over 250 clubs from 12 leagues. I spent way too much time just scrolling through them all before finally settling on my usual Premier League picks.
The gameplay felt smoother than earlier FIFAs, with players pulling off sliding tackles and trapping the ball in ways that actually looked realistic (for the time). Goalkeepers weren’t just mindless AI anymore—you could actually control them, which saved my skin more than a few times. And being able to tweak formations or even shuffle players between teams? Yeah, that kept me busy for hours.
Oh, and the camera angles? You could switch between a bunch of them, though I always stuck with the classic sideline view. It just felt right. If you had an N64 and even a passing interest in football, this was the game to play.
