Game Overview
Final Fight 3 on NES is one of those bootleg ports that feels both janky and weirdly charming. The sprites are squashed, the controls are stiff, and half the time you're not sure if an attack actually landed. But there's something about the way it crams a beat-em-up into 8-bit that makes it oddly playable.
You get three characters to pick from, each with their own stiff little animations. The first stage throws you into a city where enemies just sort of shamble toward you in waves. The hit detection is spotty—sometimes you'll punch right through a guy, other times you'll get hit from what looks like three feet away.
It's not a great port by any means, but if you're into weird NES bootlegs, Final Fight 3 has that rough-around-the-edges appeal. Just don't expect anything close to the arcade version.
