Play Firestriker Online
You bounce a flaming orb through monster-packed mazes, swatting it like pinball with swords while dodging attacks—chaos feels intentional here. That magician buddy’s spells help when you’re cornered, but mostly it’s you, the ball, and terrible timing.

Firestriker is one of those weird, wonderful SNES games that doesn’t fit neatly into any genre. At first glance, it looks like an RPG—there’s a fantasy world, elemental kingdoms, and a chosen hero—but then you start playing and realize it’s basically pinball with swords. Your character, the Firestriker, whacks a flaming ball (the "Trialight") around maze-like levels, smashing through blocks and enemies to reach the exit.
It’s way more chaotic than it sounds. You’re juggling movement, timing your strikes just right, and trying not to let the ball fly off-screen while monsters swarm you. There’s even a second character—a magician—who hangs back and shoots spells if you remember to use the shoulder buttons. Boss fights get wild, with screen-filling monsters that force you to ricochet the Trialight like some kind of medieval billiards pro.
Oh, and it’s secretly a party game? The two-player co-op is fun, but the four-player duel mode is where things get properly ridiculous. Imagine four people frantically batting a fireball at each other while dodging traps—it’s the kind of thing that ends friendships. A weird, underrated gem if you like your fantasy with a side of physics-based chaos.
