Play Fortress Online
Drop Tetris blocks to build a castle while dodging cannon fire—your opponent’s stacking blocks too, and some grumpy monster keeps chewing through both your walls.

Fortress came out for the Game Boy Advance in 2000, a time when the handheld was just starting to show what it could do. It was developed by Crawfish Interactive and published by Eidos, fitting right in with the era's mix of puzzle games and action titles that tried to do something a little different on the small screen.
You control a little builder who drops Tetris-like blocks to construct a defensive wall, all while an opponent on the top screen is doing the same thing. The main goal is to outlast them by building a complete fortress before they can breach yours or before a timer runs out. Cannonballs from the enemy side will periodically blast chunks out of your structure, and a roaming monster might wander through and chew on the bottom rows, forcing you to adapt and rebuild constantly. The pace is frantic, a constant back and forth of construction and destruction that keeps you on your toes. It feels like a desperate, blocky race against chaos.
