Play Gargon Online
Pilot a tiny ship through chaotic alien waves—dodge left, blast floating eyeballs, and snag power-ups before they vanish. Starts brutal, then clicks when you learn the rhythm of those relentless bullet patterns.

Gargon is one of those weird little NES shooters that somehow slipped under the radar—which is a shame, because it's got this frantic energy that makes it way more fun than it has any right to be. You're piloting this tiny ship through these surreal alien landscapes, weaving between enemy fire that comes at you from all angles. At first, it feels overwhelming, but after a few deaths, you start picking up the rhythm—dodge left, blast the floating eyeball thing, grab the power-up before it scrolls off screen.
The controls are surprisingly tight for an obscure NES title, and the weapon upgrades actually feel impactful. One minute you're plinking away with a pea shooter, the next you're unleashing a screen-filling spread shot that makes you feel unstoppable (until, of course, you crash into a wall because the scrolling gets fast). It's got that classic "one more try" hook—even when you lose, you can see exactly where you messed up, so you just want to jump back in.
If you dig old-school shooters with a side of weird, Gargon's a great way to kill an afternoon. Just don't blame me when you start muttering "I almost had it this time" under your breath.
