Game Overview

GBADev 2004 Mbit Competition is one of those weird little GBA cartridges that makes you go, "Wait, this was a thing?" It's basically a homebrew mixtape—a bunch of tiny games and tech demos thrown together by indie devs back in 2004, all crammed onto one cartridge. Some are surprisingly polished, others feel like someone's fever dream (in a good way).

You'll start flipping through the menu and suddenly find yourself playing a minimalist puzzle game, then a trippy audio visualizer, then something that looks like a rejected Nintendo prototype. Half the fun is not knowing what you're about to click on next. The GBA wasn't exactly a powerhouse, but these coders squeezed every last drop out of it—some of the effects still impress me.

Definitely more of a curiosity than a "game" in the traditional sense, but if you're into gaming's underground scenes or just love oddball retro stuff, it's worth digging up.
