Play Ghostbusters 2 on nes Online

You sling goo at ghosts and wrestle with janky controls while the screen scrolls backward—then somehow end up clumsily piloting Lady Liberty. It’s a mess, but hey, it’s *your* mess now.

Game Overview

Ghostbusters 2 on NES is one of those games that sounds way cooler than it plays—but hey, you get to shoot slime and drive the Ecto-1, so points for effort. You’re basically running (and sometimes driving) through levels based on the movie, trying to reach the museum before time runs out. The controls are clunky, the difficulty is brutal, and for some reason, the screen scrolls left, which feels like the game’s way of saying, "Hurry up, but also good luck."

There’s a level where you awkwardly pilot the Statue of Liberty, lobbing fireballs like a sleep-deprived giant, and the final stage? You have to beat it four times in a row just to see the ending. It’s the kind of game you play to say you survived it, not because it’s actually fun. Still, if you’re a masochist or a diehard Ghostbusters fan, it’s weirdly fascinating.
