Game Overview

Gnome Alone is one of those weird little Amiga games that sticks with you. You play as a garden gnome trying to defend your home from waves of pests—everything from slugs to birds—using whatever tools you can find. The controls are simple, but the chaos ramps up fast. One minute you're casually tossing rocks at snails, the next you're frantically dodging dive-bombing crows while your gnome yells in panic.

The pixel art has this charming, slightly deranged vibe, and the sound effects are ridiculous in the best way. I remember laughing the first time I heard the gnome's little grunts of effort when he throws things. It's not deep, but it's the kind of game you boot up when you just want to smash some virtual garden invaders for 20 minutes.

Also, yes, the title is a pun. And yes, it's terrible. I love it.
