Game Overview

Graffiti Man came out on the Amiga in 1988 from Rainbow Arts, a developer known for a few other solid platformers and action titles of the era. It was a time when the Amiga was full of creative, sometimes quirky games that tried to do something a little different, and this one definitely fit that description.

You control a graffiti artist running through urban environments, avoiding cops, skaters, and various projectiles. The main goal is to collect enough spray cans to tag specific walls on each level before your time runs out. The game is structured screen by screen, with a lot of vertical climbing and careful jumping to avoid enemies. It moves at a pretty fast pace and can be quite unforgiving if you miss a jump or get hit. Finishing the main game unlocks a free paint mode where you can just create without any pressure. It feels like a frantic race against the clock, mixed with the tension of avoiding capture.
