Grand Theft Auto Advance came out on the Game Boy Advance in 2004, developed by Digital Eclipse. You play as Mike, working your way up the criminal ladder in a scaled-down Liberty City. The main goal is to complete missions for various underworld figures, which usually involve driving, shooting, or causing chaos. Signature mechanics include stealing any car you see, engaging in shootouts with rival gangs and police, and navigating the city screen by screen due to hardware limits. The pacing is brisk, and the difficulty can spike during certain missions, especially with the awkward aiming. It feels rough compared to its bigger brothers, but there's a certain satisfaction in causing mayhem on the go.
