Play Guerilla War Online
Blast through jungles with a buddy, rescuing hostages between chaotic firefights where tanks and choppers keep you scrambling for grenades. Feels like a messy revolution crammed into 8-bit—right down to accidentally capping the guys you’re supposed to save.

Guerilla War on the NES is one of those rare shooters where you actually feel like you're part of a rebellion. You and a buddy (or solo, if you're feeling brave) blast through jungles and beaches, mowing down waves of soldiers while trying not to accidentally shoot the hostages you're supposed to rescue. Mess that up, and your score takes a nosedive—those poor guys just wanted freedom.
What makes it stand out? The whole thing feels like a chaotic, slightly janky revolution simulator. Tanks roll in, helicopters buzz overhead, and somehow you're always low on grenades when you need them most. Also, yeah, it's loosely based on Che Guevara's campaigns, which is... not something you see every day in 8-bit gaming.
Just don't expect deep storytelling—your rebels are as nameless as the dictator they're fighting. But the action holds up, especially with two players.
