Game Overview
Gunstar Future Heroes on the GBA is basically the little sibling of the Genesis classic, but don’t let that fool you—it’s just as wild. You start off picking between two characters (I always go with the faster one because dodging bullets feels cooler), and within seconds, you’re sliding, jumping, and blasting through waves of enemies. The weapon combos are ridiculous in the best way—mix a flamethrower with a homing shot, and suddenly you’re a walking fireworks show.
The pixel art pops on the small screen, and the bosses are these huge, screen-filling monsters that make you scramble to figure out their patterns. Co-op’s where it really shines, though—grabbing a friend and tearing through levels together turns the chaos up to another level. It’s got that perfect "one more try" energy, even when you die because you got too greedy with your attacks. If you’ve got a GBA and a love for frantic action, this one’s a no-brainer.
