HeroQuest II on the Amiga takes the same isometric dungeon-crawling engine from the first game and throws you into Rhia, a land absolutely crawling with monsters. You pick four heroes from eight classes—the original four plus new ones like rangers and clerics—and tweak their stats before diving in. I spent way too long deciding between an elf or a mystic for my party, honestly.

The controls are simple: click icons to move, attack, or search for hidden stuff. What’s cool is you can split up your team, sending the barbarian to smash doors while the wizard hangs back to lob spells. The levels are bigger this time, with nine missions that push you forward in a set order. It’s not open-world, but the fights get trickier as you go, especially when you realize some characters just don’t work together.

If you liked the first HeroQuest, this one gives you more of that tactical, dice-rolling vibe but with extra classes to mess around with. Just don’t expect the dwarf to survive if you send him charging ahead alone.
