HeroQuest II on the Amiga takes everything that worked in the original—that slick isometric dungeon crawling—and throws in more classes, bigger maps, and way more ways to get ambushed by monsters. You pick four heroes from eight classes (the new cleric is a lifesaver, literally), tweak their stats, and then dive into nine massive missions across Rhia.

What I love is how you can split up your party—send the elf to scout ahead while the dwarf guards the door, or have your mystic hang back to lob spells. The controls are all icon-based, so you’re constantly clicking to search for traps, bash down doors, or just swing your sword at whatever’s lurking in the shadows. It’s slower than some RPGs, but that tension makes every hallway feel dangerous.

Fair warning: the missions are linear, and some of the puzzles will have you scratching your head. But figuring out how to survive with your weird party combo is half the fun.
