Play Hi Hi Puffy AmiYumi : Kaznapped! Online
Switch between Ami and Yumi to swing, smash, and rescue Kaz while battling robots and collecting items in this lighthearted side-scrolling adventure.
Hi Hi Puffy AmiYumi: Kaznapped! came out for the Game Boy Advance in 2007, developed by Sensory Sweep Studios. It was one of those licensed games that showed up during the GBA's later years, based on the Cartoon Network show about the Japanese pop duo. The game doesn't try to reinvent anything, but it fits right in with other side-scrolling platformers of the time.
You control both Ami and Yumi, switching between them to use their unique abilities. Ami can use her microphone to swing across gaps, while Yumi smashes through barriers with her guitar. The goal is to rescue their manager Kaz, navigating through levels filled with enemy robots and swarms of overeager fans. You explore screen by screen, defeat enemies with basic attacks, and collect items like CDs and health pickups (which sometimes involve petting cats mid-level). The pacing is straightforward, and the difficulty stays manageable, making it an easy game to pick up and play through. It feels like a light, cheerful run through a cartoon episode.
