Play Hitler no Fukkatsu - Top Secret Online
You sneak through pixelated Nazi bases, blasting cyborg Hitler’s goons between awkwardly moving toy soldiers on a strategy map—it’s janky, baffling, and somehow endearing.

I picked up a copy of Hitler no Fukkatsu: Top Secret for the NES a while back. It came out in 1988 from Bandai, and it's one of those strange, ambitious titles that tried to do something different on the console. It's not a game you hear about often, but it has a certain presence, a mix of strategy and action that felt experimental for its time.
You control an Allied soldier tasked with stopping a resurrected Hitler. The game splits between an overhead strategy map, where you move your unit like a board game piece to select missions, and side-scrolling action stages where you actually fight. In these stages, you walk through enemy bases, shooting Nazi soldiers and robots with a limited supply of bullets. You have to find keys to open doors, avoid traps, and manage your health carefully. The strategy layer is slow and deliberate, while the action parts are tense and unforgiving; one wrong move can send you back to the map. It feels clunky and confusing at first, but there's a raw, earnest charm to pushing through its rough edges.
