It didn't try to reinvent the wheel, but it had a certain charm that fit right in with the handheld's library.
You control Manny, Sid, and Diego, switching between them to use their unique abilities; Sid can belly slide through narrow tunnels, Diego wall jumps to reach high ledges, and Manny smashes obstacles with his charge. The goal is to guide the herd to safety as the valley floods, navigating screen by screen across melting ice and precarious platforms. You also play as Scrat in frantic bonus stages, chasing his acorn while dodging hazards like collapsing bridges and aggressive dodo birds. The pacing is brisk, with simple puzzles and light combat, though some later stages demand precise timing. It feels like a compact, cheerful adventure that captures the movie's humor without overcomplicating things.
