Ice Age 2: The Meltdown on GBA is way more fun than most movie tie-ins. You switch between Manny, Diego, and Sid—each handles totally differently, which keeps the puzzles interesting. Manny brute-forces his way through obstacles, Diego’s all about speed and precision jumps, and Sid… well, he’s weirdly good at climbing walls and melting ice, which comes in handy more than you’d think.
The real surprise? Those chaotic Scrat levels where you’re basically a squirrel on espresso, scrambling through obstacle courses at breakneck speed. They’re a nice change of pace when you need a break from figuring out how to move boulders across half the map.
It’s not super long, but there’s a solid mix of puzzles, boss fights, and that one level where everything’s flooding and you’re desperately herding mini-sloths to safety. The animation’s surprisingly smooth for a GBA game, too.
