Game Overview
Inspector Gadget: Advance Mission feels like a love letter to the old-school platformers of the '90s—just with way more gadgets (obviously). You switch between Gadget, Penny, and Brain, each with their own weirdly specific skills. Gadget’s umbrella parachute is fun until you accidentally float into an enemy, Penny’s robot control is oddly satisfying, and Brain’s disguise trick actually works way better than you’d expect from a dog in a hat.
The levels are classic cartoon chaos—dodging traps, planting dynamite in just the right spots, and occasionally getting stuck because you forgot which character can swim. It’s got that slightly janky charm of older platformers, where half the challenge is figuring out how the mechanics actually work. Also, the European version lets you play in six languages, which is neat if you’ve ever wanted to hear Gadget’s nonsense in Dutch.
It won’t blow your mind, but it’s a solid nostalgia trip for anyone who grew up with the show or just misses that era of platforming.
