Play International Superstar Soccer '98 (EU) Online
Timing long shots just right feels amazing, and the multiplayer still holds up—nothing like stealing a win with a last-second bicycle kick. Some janky AI, but the ball physics make up for it.

Game Overview
International Superstar Soccer '98 on the N64 was my go-to soccer game back in the day. The controls just feel right—passing is crisp, and those long-range shots actually connect if you time them well. There’s something satisfying about the way the ball moves, not too floaty, not too heavy.
You’ve got all the big national teams here, though some player names are hilariously off (blame licensing, I guess). The stadiums look decent for the era, and the crowd noise ramps up when you’re on a breakaway. My friends and I wasted whole weekends on the multiplayer—nothing beats a last-minute bicycle kick to win a match.
It’s not perfect—the AI defenders sometimes act like they’ve never seen a soccer ball before—but for a late-90s N64 sports game, it holds up surprisingly well.
