Play Iridion 3D (U)(Eurasia) Online
Pilot a starfighter, shoot down waves of alien ships, dodge attacks, switch weapons, and take down bosses in this fast-paced rail shooter on Game Boy Advance.
Iridion 3D came out for the Game Boy Advance in 2001, developed by Shin'en and published by Majesco in North America and THQ in Europe. It was one of the early attempts to bring a 3D rail shooter to the handheld, using the system's hardware to render polygonal enemies and environments, which felt ambitious at the time even if the visuals were a bit rough around the edges.
You pilot a lone starfighter moving on a fixed path, firing at waves of alien ships and dodging their patterned attacks. The main goal is to survive each stage and defeat the boss waiting at the end. Signature mechanics include switching between three different weapon types on the fly, each suited for specific enemies or situations, and collecting power-ups to upgrade your main shot and secondary bombs. The pacing is fast, and the difficulty can be punishing, especially during boss fights where memorizing attack patterns is essential. It feels tense and demanding, with a satisfying rush when you finally clear a tough section.
