Play Iridion 3D Online
Dodging neon bullets in this pseudo-3D shooter feels like threading a needle while the soundtrack blasts in your ears—you’ll swap weapons constantly just to survive the alien swarms.

Iridion 3D came out for the Game Boy Advance in 2001, developed by Shin'en Multimedia. It was one of the early attempts to bring a 3D-like rail shooter experience to the handheld, using clever scaling and rotation tricks to push the hardware. At the time, it stood out visually, even if it wasn't the deepest game in the library.
You pilot a lone ship against waves of alien invaders, scrolling forward on a fixed path through several themed stages. Your main objective is simply to survive and destroy everything in your way. The signature mechanics include a multi-directional aiming reticle you control independently of your ship's movement, a limited-use smart bomb for clearing the screen, and the ability to swap between three primary weapon types (spread, laser, homing) to handle different enemy formations. The pacing is relentless; enemies and projectiles flood the screen, and the difficulty ramps up sharply after the first level. Playing it feels like a constant, tense dance between aiming, dodging, and managing your limited special weapons.
