Iridion II ditches the first game's 3D rail shooter style for something closer to classic GBA shooters like R-Type, but with this cool pseudo-3D perspective that makes dodging bullets way more intense. You've got six weapons to swap between—my personal favorite's the homing missiles once you upgrade them enough to fill half the screen.
The story's your standard "last hope against alien invaders" setup, but honestly, you'll be too busy weaving through neon bullet patterns to care much about the plot. Some of the later levels get absolutely brutal with enemy swarms, especially when those spider-mechs start splitting into smaller drones mid-fight. Pro tip: save your bombs for the stage 7 boss unless you enjoy pixel-perfect dodging for five straight minutes.
It's one of those games where you'll fail a level six times, then suddenly everything clicks and you blast through like some kind of spaceship ninja.
