Play Jelly Boy (Beta) Online

You play as a wobbly jelly blob—stretching, sticking to walls, and splitting apart to squeeze through tight spots while bouncing through wild, colorful levels. It’s like Sonic if he was made of gummy and physics actually mattered.

Game Overview

Jelly Boy (Beta) was an unreleased Sega Genesis game, developed by Probe Entertainment and intended for publication by Sony Imagesoft. It exists only as a prototype from the mid-90s, a period when platformers were experimenting with more unusual physics and character mechanics beyond the typical run-and-jump formula.

You control a gelatinous, elastic hero, navigating a series of vibrant, obstacle-filled stages. The primary goal is simply to reach the end of each level, but the journey is defined by your malleable form. You can stretch your body to latch onto distant ceilings or walls, hang and swing from these points, and even split yourself into two smaller, independently controlled blobs to solve spatial puzzles or fit through narrow passages. The challenge comes from managing this unpredictable elasticity while avoiding hazards and enemies; momentum and weight feel tangible, making precise control a constant, engaging effort. It creates a playful, slightly clumsy tension where every stretch and bounce feels consequential.
