Game Overview

Jerry Boy is one of those weird, charming SNES platformers that never made it outside Japan—thankfully, someone translated it. You play as this little blue blob (who’s somehow also a boy?) rolling and bouncing through colorful levels, picking up power-ups that change your shape. One minute you’re a bouncy ball, the next you’ve got wheels or wings. The controls take a second to get used to—momentum’s a big deal—but once it clicks, you’ll be ricocheting off walls like a pinball.

The witch’s minions are all over the place, from floating eyeballs to… walking apples? It’s got that early ‘90s Japanese quirkiness where nothing makes sense but you just roll with it. The music’s catchy in that SNES synth way, and some levels have these weird gimmicks, like suddenly turning into a top-down maze. Not the deepest game, but it’s short, silly, and perfect for when you want something light between heavier RPGs.

Fun fact: This was actually developed by the same team that later made the Mana series, which explains the offbeat charm.
