Justice League Task Force is one of those early '90s fighting games where DC’s biggest heroes beat each other up for… reasons? The story mode has them fighting their way through fellow Justice League members before taking on Darkseid’s crew, which honestly feels a little backwards—why is Superman punching Batman first instead of, you know, the actual villains?
Still, it’s fun seeing the roster in 16-bit form. Superman’s got his heat vision, Flash zips around annoyingly fast, and Wonder Woman’s lasso actually trips people up. The villain characters (Despero, Cheetah) are playable in battle mode, though they feel a bit clunky compared to the heroes.
