Play Kelly Slater's Pro Surfer Online
Pick a pro surfer, carve up waves at real spots, and bail hilariously when you botch a trick—it's Tony Hawk but with saltwater. Championship mode keeps you grinding for scores while the tiny sprites wipe out around you.

Kelly Slater's Pro Surfer came out on Game Boy Advance in 2002, published by THQ. It was part of that wave of extreme sports games trying to capture some of the energy of console hits on a handheld. The small screen and limited hardware meant you got a simplified take on surfing, but it was still a solid attempt to bring the sport into your hands.
You pick a pro surfer, like Kelly Slater or one of the others, and ride waves at real world locations. The main goal is to score points by landing tricks, like aerials and cutbacks, before the wave dies out. You build your special meter by linking moves together, which lets you pull off bigger, more complex tricks for huge scores. The pacing is quick; waves come one after another, and the difficulty ramps up as you need higher scores to advance. It feels like a fast, arcade-style challenge where timing and flow are everything.
