Play Kelly Slater's Pro Surfer (U)(Mode7) Online

Paddle into waves, chain flips and slides, then wipe out spectacularly when you botch the timing—it's Tony Hawk but with saltwater instead of concrete. The GBA's tiny screen somehow makes those wipeouts even more brutal.

Game Overview

Kelly Slater’s Pro Surfer on GBA is basically Tony Hawk on water—same trick combos, same arcade-style scoring, but with way more wipeouts. You pick a pro surfer (or create your own), then hit waves in spots like Hawaii or Australia, pulling off grabs, flips, and slides. The controls take a minute to click—timing your pumps to build speed feels weird at first—but once you chain a few moves together, it’s satisfying.

Waves can be brutal if you’re not careful; mistime a landing and you’ll eat it hard. The career mode’s got the usual goals—hit a high score, collect floating icons—but the real fun is just riding and seeing how long you can keep a combo going. Graphics are decent for the GBA, with little details like spray off the board when you cut hard. Not as deep as the console versions, but solid for handheld surfing.
