Kickle Cubicle came out on the Nintendo Entertainment System in 1990, developed by Irem. It was one of those late-era NES puzzle games that didn't get a ton of attention, but it had a really distinct look and feel compared to everything else on the system at the time.
You control a little character in a red and white outfit, moving screen by screen through a colorful, blocky world. Your main tool is the ability to shoot ice from your hands, which freezes enemies into solid blocks. You then push those frozen blocks around to create pathways, bridge gaps, or weigh down switches. The goal is to collect all the dream bags in each stage and then reach the exit. The puzzles start simple but quickly demand careful planning, especially when you have to freeze enemies in mid-air or under moving hazards. It's a game that makes you think on your feet, and there's a real satisfaction when a tricky solution finally clicks into place.
