Game Overview

Killerball is basically what happens if you lock American football players in a pinball machine, give them roller skates, and tell them the only rule is "don't die." You control a team of five players trying to slam an iron ball into the other team's goal while everyone's busy body-checking each other into oblivion. Health bars drain fast—turns out getting clotheslined by a 300-pound cyber-athlete hurts.

The circular arena feels claustrophobic in the best way, with players ricocheting off walls like human pinballs. Matches can end by either the timer running out or when one team's entire roster is KO'd (which happens more often than you'd think). There's a gnarly difficulty spread across the three leagues—Minor feels chaotic but survivable, while Elite matches look like a demolition derby.

You can jump into quick matches against the AI or a friend, but the real meat is the tournament mode. Eight teams battle it out in a brutal season where progress actually saves, so you don't have to explain to your roommate why you've been screaming at the Amiga for three hours straight. Just expect a lot of broken bones and questionable sportsmanship.
