Play Knights of the Round (Japan) Online
Pick Arthur, Lancelot, or Percival and hack through waves of knights—your armor gets wilder with each upgrade, like Arthur’s helmet suddenly growing wings. The real fun is in couch co-op, where dumb strategies (like everyone spamming spin attacks) turn the screen into glorious chaos.

Knights of the Round came out for the Super Nintendo in 1994, developed by Capcom. It was part of that wave of arcade-style beat 'em ups that felt right at home on the SNES, offering a familiar but polished take on the genre. The game didn't try to reinvent the wheel, but it stood out with its Arthurian theme and some clever mechanics that gave it a distinct flavor.
You control one of three knights—Arthur, Lancelot, or Percival—and slash your way through screen after screen of enemies. Your main goal is to defeat enemy knights and eventually take down the final boss to claim the throne. As you progress, you level up, which changes your armor and weapons visually and statistically; Arthur's helmet, for example, grows wings. The combat includes a blocking mechanic and the ability to perform mounted attacks on horses that appear throughout stages. The pacing is brisk, and the difficulty can feel punishing in later levels, especially when enemies gang up on you. It feels satisfying to see your character evolve and to carve a path through crowded battles with well-timed moves.
