Krazy Kreatures is one of those NES games that looks simple at first—until you realize how fast things spiral out of control. You're basically wrangling a screen full of weird little critters, sliding them around to match up three or more of the same type before the whole board fills up. Some need four or even five in a row to vanish, which keeps you on your toes.
The real panic sets in when you hit the bonus round—suddenly the board stops refilling, and you've got this frantic window to clear as many matches as possible. And just when you think you've got the hang of it, the levels start throwing weird board shapes and faster spawns at you. Played it two-player once with my cousin—we were yelling at each other by level 3.
