Kunio-kun no Nekketsu Soccer League (or "Goal 3" as some call it) is that weird, chaotic NES soccer game where everything feels slightly unhinged in the best way. You’ve got sliding tackles that send players flying, rain that turns the field into a slip-and-slide, and special shots that look like they belong in a fighting game. The controls take a minute to get used to—half the time I accidentally slide when I mean to shoot—but once it clicks, you’ll be laughing at how ridiculous some of the goals look. It’s not exactly FIFA, but that’s why it’s fun.
