Play Kunio no Oden Online
Stack oden ingredients like Tetris, but with rowdy AI opponents—then wreck your friend’s progress by dumping combos onto their side in 2P mode. Pure Kunio-style chaos.

Kunio no Oden came out for the Super Nintendo in 1994, developed by Technos Japan. It was one of those quirky, lesser known titles that showed how developers were willing to experiment with the SNES hardware, even late in the system's life. You don't hear much about it now, but it had a certain charm that stood apart from the more action packed or RPG heavy games of the era.
You control Kunio, moving him through a series of single screen stages where the goal is to build complete rows of oden ingredients. Each stage gives you a set of falling blocks shaped like fish cakes, boiled eggs, and other items; you position them on your grid while rival characters try to mess up your progress by dumping extra blocks onto your side. The two player mode turns this into a frantic competition, with both players scrambling to complete lines and sabotage each other. It moves quickly, and the AI can be surprisingly aggressive, making it tough to keep your board clear. Playing it feels like a mix of careful planning and sudden, chaotic fun.
