Game Overview

Lady Sia on the GBA is one of those games that slipped under the radar but absolutely shouldn’t have. You play as Sia, a warrior with a sword and a seriously cool trick—she can shapeshift into creatures like a panther (for speed) or a gargoyle (for smashing stuff). The first time I transformed mid-jump to clear a gap, I knew this wasn’t just another action-platformer.

The levels are packed with secrets, and the pixel art still holds up—especially when Sia’s hair whips around during combat. Some of the platforming gets tricky, but switching forms to tackle obstacles keeps things interesting. It’s got that old-school Metroidvania vibe where backtracking with new powers actually feels rewarding, not tedious.

Honestly, it’s a shame this didn’t get more attention back then. If you’re into GBA hidden gems, this one’s a no-brainer.
