Play Last Inca, The Online
1989 Amiga platformer with exploration, puzzles, and traps. Features block-pushing, hidden switches, non-linear paths, and jungle/ruin environments.
I remember picking up Last Inca on the Amiga back in 1989; it was developed by a company called Starbyte Software. At the time, the Amiga was full of ambitious platformers and adventure hybrids, and this one stood out for its setting and exploration focus. It didnโt have the flashiest graphics or the biggest name behind it, but it offered something a little different from the usual sci-fi or fantasy fare.
You control an explorer navigating ancient Incan ruins, moving screen by screen through trap-filled chambers and outdoor jungle areas. Your main goal is to collect four sacred statues hidden throughout the non-linear map. The gameplay involves pushing blocks to solve environmental puzzles, uncovering hidden switches to open new paths, and carefully timing your movements to avoid spikes and falling traps. Itโs not a combat-heavy game; the challenge comes from observation and patience. The pacing is deliberate, and some sections can be quite unforgiving if you rush. Playing it feels like slowly unraveling a dangerous, ancient puzzle with your own two hands.
