I picked up LEGO Star Wars II: The Original Trilogy for the Game Boy Advance back in 2006, a time when handhelds were really hitting their stride with solid action-adventure titles. You control a variety of characters from the original trilogy, switching between them to solve simple puzzles and fight through waves of enemies. The main goal is to progress screen by screen, collecting studs, unlocking new characters, and occasionally building LEGO structures to advance. Combat is straightforward, mostly involving blaster shots or lightsaber swings, and the levels are designed for quick bursts of play. It’s not particularly difficult, but it moves at a good pace and stays engaging. Playing it feels like revisiting the movies with a lighthearted, interactive twist.
