Game Overview

Lethal Enforcers on the Sega Genesis is one of those games that makes you realize how much we’ve lost with modern light gun shooters. You play as a cop blasting through waves of criminals—bank robbers, drug dealers, the usual '90s arcade villains—and it’s all digitized sprites and cheesy voice clips shouting "Freeze!" (yes, with a Z).

The real magic happens if you’ve got the Konami Justifier, that bright blue plastic gun that somehow made dodging behind cover feel legit. Without it, you’re stuck with a controller, which works but isn’t nearly as satisfying. Either way, the game doesn’t mess around—enemies pop up fast, and missing a shot means eating lead. It’s got that arcade vibe where you’ll die a lot, but each run feels just short enough to make you say "one more try."

Honestly, half the fun now is laughing at the over-the-top violence and how seriously it takes itself. But the gameplay? Still holds up if you’re into twitchy, unforgiving action. Just don’t expect mercy.
