You play as Valdyn, nicknamed "Lionheart," which feels a little on the nose when your mission is to retrieve a stolen relic that also happens to be called Lionheart. Classic fantasy logic. The whole thing plays like a mix of platforming and hack-and-slash—think Rastan, but with a sword that swings with way more attitude than it probably should.
The levels scroll in all directions, which was pretty slick for its time, and you’ll spend most of your time chopping through anything dumb enough to get in your way. The controls are straightforward, but don’t expect anything fancy—just you, your blade, and a whole lot of enemies who probably regret their life choices.
It’s one of those games where the challenge ramps up fast, so don’t get too comfortable.
