Lords of Time on the Amiga throws you into the boots of Major Thom, a test pilot who accidentally warps to a weird fantasy world after a sci-fi experiment goes wrong. Waking up by a campfire with no clue what’s going on, you’re told to find King Tanor—and that’s where the real adventure starts.
It’s one of those RPGs where you actually have to manage basic survival stuff—eating, sleeping, not getting murdered by random creatures in real-time combat. At first, I kept forgetting to rest and ended up stumbling around half-dead until I figured out the rhythm. The world feels alive, though—you can chat with villagers, buy gear, and slowly piece together how to get home.
Your end goal? Track down an archmage named Tessak, team up with druids and dwarves, and take down the villain Kruel. It’s got that classic ‘80s RPG vibe where nothing holds your hand, but stumbling through the mystery is half the fun. Just don’t skip meals.
