Play Madagascar : Operation Penguin Online
Guide Private the penguin through side-scrolling levels, dodge zookeepers, launch fish, and collect sardine cans to rescue his friends in this colorful platformer.
Madagascar: Operation Penguin came out for the Game Boy Advance in 2005, developed by Vicarious Visions. It was one of those licensed platformers that felt right at home on the GBA, a system packed with straightforward, colorful adventures based on movies and cartoons. You didn't need a deep story, just a fun excuse to run and jump.
You control Private, the small penguin from the film, on a mission to rescue his friends from the zoo. The gameplay involves navigating side scrolling levels, avoiding zookeepers and other obstacles. You use a fish launcher to stun enemies and bubble gum grenades to create temporary platforms. The goal is to collect all the sardine cans in a stage before reaching the exit. The pacing is brisk, and some later stages demand careful timing. It feels like a light, silly distraction that captures the movie's energy without overcomplicating things.
