Magic Darts is one of those weirdly charming NES sports games that shouldn’t be as fun as it is. You pick from a roster of 12 characters—some look like they wandered in from a fighting game, others like they just left the office—and then it’s all about flicking darts at a digital board. The physics are janky in that classic NES way, but once you get the timing down, hitting a triple 20 feels weirdly satisfying.

There’s a decent mix of modes: 301, 501, the brutal 701 if you hate yourself, plus Round the Clock where you nail numbers in order (spoiler: I always get stuck on 16). Half It’s the real wildcard—score drops in half if you miss the target, so one bad throw ruins everything. Perfect for when you want to yell at your TV.

It’s not deep, but there’s something about the clunky animations and the way the crowd murmurs when you’re lining up a shot that makes it weirdly addictive. Just don’t expect online multiplayer—this is strictly a "pass the controller and talk trash" kind of game.
