Play Magical Mathematics (Asia) (Unl) (PAL) Online

Solve math puzzles to unlock doors in pixel worlds, dodging number traps while the clock ticks down—weirdly charming for a game about equations. That wizard robe sprite still cracks me up.

Game Overview

Magical Mathematics is an unlicensed NES cartridge released only in Asia and PAL regions, developed by an obscure team whose name doesn't appear on the packaging. It came out during the late 80s, a time when the NES library was flooded with low-budget educational titles hoping to cash in on the system's popularity.

You control a young wizard who moves through a series of themed rooms, each blocked by doors that require solving math problems to proceed. The main goal is to reach the end of each stage by correctly answering addition, subtraction, and multiplication questions, often while avoiding enemies that drain your time or health. The difficulty ramps up quickly, with later stages introducing time limits and multi-step equations. Playing it feels like a tense pop quiz where every wrong answer costs you progress.
