Play Manchester United Championship Soccer (Europe) (Beta) Online
Slide into reckless tackles with Man Utd’s ‘90s squad—fast-paced but not too arcadey, with AI that actually fights back. That German version with Matthäus? Same game, just a different face on the box.

Game Overview
Manchester United Championship Soccer is one of those mid-90s SNES football games that never made it outside Europe—which is a shame because it’s actually pretty solid. You get the full Man Utd squad from that era (no licenses for other teams, though), and the gameplay’s faster than FIFA but not quite as arcadey as Sensible Soccer. Slide tackles feel satisfyingly reckless, and the AI actually puts up a decent fight on higher difficulties.
Weirdly, the German version got rebranded as 'Lothar Matthäus Super Soccer'—same game, just with a different cover star. The beta version floating around has some rough edges, but the core mechanics hold up. If you dig old-school football games, this one’s worth a few matches.
