Okay, so Marvel VS Capcom on Neo Geo is basically the opposite of baseball—unless you count Ryu throwing fireballs as fast pitches. It’s that classic 2D fighter where you pick two characters (good luck choosing between Wolverine and Mega Man) and mash buttons until someone’s health bar disappears. The Neo Geo version feels a little chunkier than the arcade, but hey, it’s got that pixel-heavy charm.

First match in, you’ll realize half the fun is seeing how ridiculous the team-ups get—like, why is Spider-Man fighting Strider Hiryu? No one knows, but the combos are stupidly satisfying once you get the timing down. The AI doesn’t pull punches even on default difficulty, so expect to lose a round or two while figuring out which special moves actually connect.

It’s messy, loud, and absolutely the kind of game you play with a friend yelling next to you on the couch.
