Okay, so The King of Fighters 2002 Magic Plus is one of those bootleg Neo Geo ROMs that somehow ended up being more fun than it had any right to be. It's basically KOF 2002 but with wild tweaks—characters have new supers, some moves are totally broken, and the AI will absolutely wreck you if you're not careful. First time I booted it up, I picked Kyo like usual, only to realize his combos chain differently now. Took me three matches just to stop getting bodied by a CPU Iori.
It's pure arcade chaos—no fancy story modes or tutorials, just pick your team and go. The roster's stacked with classic SNK fighters, but half of them feel like they've been cranked up to 11. Terry's Power Geyser hits like a truck now, and Mai's... well, let's just say her fireballs are ridiculous. If you're into old-school fighters with janky charm, this one's a weirdly good time.
Also, yes, you can absolutely play this two-player if you find someone brave enough to deal with the unbalanced madness. Just don't blame me when your friend picks Angel and starts infinite-looping you into oblivion.
