Download King of Fighters Collection, The - The Orochi Saga ROM – Sony PSP Game
Game Overview
I picked up King of Fighters Collection: The Orochi Saga on PSP back in 2008, a release from SNK Playmore that bundled together King of Fighters '94 through '98. It was a solid way to carry a chunk of arcade history in your pocket, especially at a time when the PSP had plenty of action and RPGs but fewer dedicated fighting game collections. Having all these titles in one place felt practical, not necessarily revolutionary, but it was nice to see SNK’s work preserved like that.
You control a team of three fighters, swapping them in and out as you take on other teams across several tournaments. The main goal is to defeat all opponents and become the champion, but along the way you’re managing health bars, super meters, and learning how to time dodges and counters. Signature mechanics include the team-based combat, where you can call in assists or perform desperation moves when your health is low, and the tactical use of hops and short jumps to control space. Matches are fast and demand quick reactions; the AI doesn’t pull punches, even on normal difficulty. It feels sharp and responsive, like the arcade cabinets I remember, but condensed into something I can play anywhere.
