You control a team of three fighters, plus an assist striker, working to defeat opponents in one-on-one matches. The main objective is to deplete your rival's health bar before they do the same to you. Signature mechanics include the striker system, where you call in a partner for a quick attack or combo extension, and the max mode activation, which allows for more damaging combos and special cancels. The pacing is fast, and the AI can be brutally efficient, demanding precise inputs and good timing.
