So you pick one of four leaders—Scarlet, Oberon, Caesar, or Madcap—each with their own color-coded army. The first thing that struck me was how open it feels: you’ve got nine levels split into three territories each, and you can tackle them in any order. The tenth? That’s the big finale, the "Mother of All Battles," and it’s as intense as it sounds.

You start with 100 soldiers, and here’s the catch—you decide how many to deploy per island. The leftovers carry over, plus you get another 100 fresh recruits for the next level. Later, you can even freeze troops to save them for the final showdown. Smart move, because you’ll need every last one.

After dropping your HQ, it’s all about research. Archers on rooftops? Sure. Boiling oil? Why not. Eventually, you’re slapping laser turrets up there like it’s no big deal. Send unarmed guys into empty land, and they’ll build new bases—faster if you send more. Then come mines and factories, because higher-tier weapons need specific materials. Some areas are rich in one resource, others in another, so you’ve gotta plan around that.

Diplomacy’s an option too—team up with one enemy to crush another, then backstab them later. Classic. And don’t forget: defense always beats an equal-strength attack, and conscripts can only kill soldiers, not wreck forts. The real fun is in the tech tree—shields, planes, better guns—turning your guys into an unstoppable force.

Just don’t dawdle during battles. Your men start building forts automatically, and if you’re slow, they’ll be stuck with basic tech until you research everything again. It’s a race against your own momentum.
