Game Overview
Metal Masters is this weird little Game Boy fighter where you pilot clunky robots that punch each other into scrap metal. At first glance, it seems simple—two attacks, ranged or melee, depending on how close you are—but then you realize you’re manually aiming punches and swapping between four different weapon systems mid-fight. It’s chaotic in the best way.
Winning fights gets you cash to upgrade your bot, but here’s the catch: beefing up your arms or legs means the next opponent gets tougher too. Sometimes I’d just sit there staring at the shop screen, wondering if buying that shiny new torso was worth the pain. And if you’re getting wrecked? Flip on the AI and let it fight for you—though watching your own robot flail around is equal parts hilarious and depressing.
Matches are quick, messy, and surprisingly tactical. You’ll either win by KO or, if the timer runs out, by who landed the most hits. Either way, you’re left with a pile of bolts and the urge to tweak your build just one more time.
